The Sunburst Ring has a modern, minimalist look, and is made ethically by our partners in Kenya! Check out our Sunburst Studs for a complete set. 

The Kenya Collection is handmade by fairly-paid, empowered artisans at a worker-owned cooperative in Nairobi, Kenya. This cooperative is located in Kibera, an economically disadvantaged part of the city. Our artisan partners are able to re-invest in their community, helping to grow opportunities for others in Kibera. Our partners craft the Kenya Collection from recycled brass with accents of cow horn and bone, because these resources are available locally. All bone and horn are repurposed from discarded materials. 

The Sunburst Ring Features:

    • Available in Small/Medium (US Sz 6) and Medium/Large (US Sz 8)
    • Diameter of sunburst measures approximately 3/8"
    • Small ring height is approximately 3/4", large ring height is approximately 7/8"
    • Crafted from recycled brass
    • If desired, polish with a brass cloth to maintain shine. Each piece comes with a small polishing pad.
    • Comes packaged with muslin drawstring bag and a story card with artisan photos


    Each brass piece from our Kenya Collection is made by a worker-owned co-operative in Kibera, Kenya, which is one of Africa's largest slums. Through their artistry and collaboration, these workers lift themselves, their families, and their community out of poverty. We have been working in partnership with this co-op for over 4 years, supporting them through design, capital improvements, and business loans for expansion.
