Our  Vase Totes are simple, rustic, and sturdy enough for everyday use.  The front pocket allows for easy access to your essentials! Made of thick full-grain leather, the wide, sculptural shape allows for easy carrying. These bags are ethically handmade by the fairly-paid, empowered artisans of the Swahili Coast Co-operative in Tanzania. They are crafted from natural, free-range Tanzanian leather that is sourced from small farmers. This sturdy leather only gets better with age! Due to the natural, handmade nature of the bag, leather color and texture will vary.

Features: 

  • Completely handmade, and stitched on a treadle sewing machine.
  • All-Natural, full grain Tanzanian leather
  • Base is approximately 9" wide by 3" deep
  • Approximately 16" wide at the top
  • Approximately 8" tall
  • Approximately 8" drop on the handles
  • Pocket dimensions are approximately 8.5" wide by 4" deep

Our beadwork and leatherwork is all made by the fairly paid artisans of our partner co-operative in Tanzania. All of the co-op member artisans are all part-owners of the co-op, so they own 100% of the co-op and its profits.
